8 Inspirational Rustic Bathrooms

While looking for inspiration for our recent main bathroom renovation, I came across some fantastic spaces that really get the creative juices flowing! To me, rustic means lots of wood, maybe some natural stone or metal, some found or repurposed items, some pops of the unexpected.

Like this one, can you imagine soaking in this gorgeous clawfoot tub surrounded by all of that cozy, warm wood? Not to mention that barn door!

And I spy an antique crock and a colorful Kilim rug, adding antique charm and a great pop of colors.

And this fantastic space full of natural stone and an amazing copper bathtub defies imagination. Add in a fireplace and all of that wood...mind blowing.

What's your opinion on bark walls? When I first saw them being used, I wondered about how to clean them, would dust gather in all of the crevices? Apparently you can seal them to make them easier to clean.  What a unique rustic bathroom!

Now from bark walls rustic and on to an elegantly rustic half bathroom. This gorgeous worn wood back splash compliments the wood counter, which was waterproofed by being waxed with bowling alley wax with a little lime powder mixed it.

More perhaps unexpected feminine details such as a crystal chandelier, florals, and soft textiles mix perfectly to balance the rustic woods.

This creative space is full of rustic charm. The mix of wood tones on the reclaimed wood beams and barn wood paneling provides interest. The sliding tin door has a beautiful patina. And how about a giant antique wooden dough bowl as a stunning double sink? I would imagine that would take some maintenance to remain waterproof, but it is such a unique idea.

And speaking of stunning sinks, this simply beautiful rustic bathroom features an amazing Turkish sink and a clean lined counter handmade from reclaimed wood. A rustic space doesn't have to have barn wood walls. These white walls provide a neutral background to allow a few rustic elements to shine.

I think this log home bathroom caught my eye because the log walls are so similar to mine. Painted cabinets can work well in log homes, they don't always have to be left natural. This rustic mix of wood tones, stone and tile is complimented by timeless elements like a crystal chandelier, clawfoot tub, and vintage inspired fixtures.

With soaring ceilings and loads of large windows, this fantastic bathroom would make the perfect luxurious rustic retreat.

This, my friends is a copper tub for two!

Now how is that for some rustic bathroom inspiration? After seeing all of these I was so excited to begin designing our main bathroom renovation. You can see my plans here:
